The title of today’s book is what hooked me in the first place: Hot Chocolate Kisses. Because how wonderful doesn’t that sound? And the book did not disappoint.

This was a lovely, lovely story about Cory and Alex who are the definition of opposites attract. Alex is the bad boy and Cory is a homebody, but they bond over snow globes and hot chocolate. It’s a quiet and slow story, just the kind I like the best. The writing is superb and sucked me right in. I was there with Alex and Cory, I was at the Christmas fair, I was drinking hot chocolate with them, I was reading with them in front of the fireplace.
This is absolutely perfect for when you need a break from all the holiday craziness and enjoy a slow romance. It’s on the longer side at 260 pages, so make sure you won’t be disturbed, because once you start reading it you won’t want to put it down. Grab your favorite blanket and curl up on the couch with a cup of hot chocolate (what else?) and enjoy this lovely story. I’ll definitely re-read it before December is over!

Then, together, their toes curling over the strip of metal on the threshold, they watched the snow fall and drank their hot chocolate. Their hips touched, and their bare arms brushed, and while the snow fell, spitting and swirling, the air making their faces cold, they looked out on the wintry world and drank their hot chocolate.
Quote from Hot Chocolate Kisses by Jackie North
*happy sigh* Maybe make an extra cup of hot chocolate for your significant other if you have one, so you, too, can enjoy hot chocolate kisses. I’m making my husband a cup right now!
