Always You

I moved this weekend. The movers rang my doorbell at 8AM on Friday, and I spent the entire weekend trying to get settled into the new apartment, hardly ever touching my phone. And in the middle of this, I had a new release.

Let me tell you: having a new release while moving is not the greatest thing. I love being online on release days, interacting with readers and reviewers and bloggers that help spread the word about the new book, and missing out on that didn’t feel great.

But today, I finally had time to sit at my desk (it’s all organized and nice!) and scroll through Twitter and Facebook, and see all the nice words people have written about Thom and Lee and Always You. And me.

And while doing this, my heart felt so full and happy and grateful for everyone who helps spreading the word of a new release. Everyone. JMS Books, my publisher. My author friends and most trusted beta readers. My friends and family. Gay Book Promotions for help with the release blitz. Bloggers and fellow authors and readers who spread the word about it, or even read and review it.

I would have been lost without all you guys this weekend. Nobody would know that my book exists and that would be a shame, because I really love Thom and Lee and their story. They deserve to be noticed and loved. And all the people I mentioned above, all of you, helped make this happen.

So, from the bottom of my heart (and from my new office space), thank you. ❤️

Thom Novak feels like a walking cliché: the gay guy desperately in love with his straight best friend, Lee. But he’s willing to keep his feelings hidden, to do whatever it takes, as long as they stay friends forever.

Lee Conway loves sharing an apartment with Thom, his best friend since birth, and would be happy doing it for the rest of his life…no matter his current girlfriend’s opinion on the matter. But he’s never been known for being in contact with his emotions.

When something happens to upset the status quo, Lee pulls away. Has Lee learned how Thom feels about him? Will it mean the end of their friendship? Or is there another reason Lee needs time to think? A more…hopeful reason?

    1. I am settled. We’re very happy in our new apartment and as soon as the last little thing left to do with my writing space is done, I’ll post a pic on the blog 🙂

I don’t know about calm, though. I signed up for TWO online summer writing courses at the university and they started last Monday, so I’m trying to read all the material and wrap my brain around writing in Swedish…which you’d think would be easy since it’s my native tongue, but my brain is hardwired into writing fiction in English, so it’s a struggle. But I’ll manage. I hope. 😁
