Takeover

Facebook author takeovers

I just wanted to let you know that I’m signed up for a couple author takeovers over at Facebook this weekend so you know where you can find me if you want to come and chat.

First, I’m in the QueeRomance Ink Facebook group today, Saturday March 9th, 6PM PST time zone, where I’ll be talking about Snowed In: Nen and Anani and do a couple giveaways. I’ll be there for an hour, and since I live in Malaysia it’ll actually be Sunday morning for me so I’m getting out of bed early just to chat with people. I’d really like to have company! 🙂

On Sunday, at 10PM EDT, I’ll spend 30 minutes in JJ Harper’s Facebook group Harper’s Honeys to celebrate her birthday, chatting and doing a giveaway or two. JJ clearly knows how to party, because her party has already started and will go on for the entire weekend. I have to admit I’m far too old for a two-day party though, so I better go to bed early today so I can keep up 😀

Also: check out this line-up for the party! I’m in pretty great company, don’t you agree?

I hope I’ll see you there!

“Don’t go, Care Bear”

Blurb

Will a late-night phone call lead to a second chance at love?

When Alex gets a call in the middle of the night, telling him is ex-boyfriend is in the hospital, he only hesitates for a second before rushing to Sammy’s side. But the Sammy in the hospital bed is fragile, and not the same man who told Alex to leave seven months ago.

Alex wants to help Sammy get better and is desperate to find out what went wrong between them. Maybe even get a second chance with the man Alex hasn’t been able to get over.

But will Sammy let him back into his life?

He hesitates with his hand on the doorknob. “This is just a theory, but I think he’s been punishing himself by not eating. Mom would often…withhold food…when she was in a bad mood.”

His words make my blood boil. What worthless piece of shit would do that to her own kids? “Punishing himself for what?”

“For pushing you away.” As soon as the words leave his mouth, he opens the door and sneaks out, leaving me alone with Sammy.

“That better not be true, you hear?” I whisper to Sammy as the tears keep leaking from my eyes. “You could have just picked up the phone and called me, you know that.”

Unconditionally

Happy 2nd bookiversary, Unconditionally

Two years ago today, on March 4th 2017, my first book Unconditionally was published. When I submitted the manuscript to JMS Books and got accepted, I was so happy I cried. If you had told me then that two years later, I will have published 11 more solo written books, 1 box set, 1 co-authored book, 1 free anthology with four writer friends, and had been featured in two Top Ten Gay Romance anthologies two years in a row, I would have laughed at you and told you you’re crazy.

But I would have been wrong. So I would like to honor Gus and Luca, my dear boys that started this journey, today on their second anniversary. Luca and Gus, I hope you’re celebrating somewhere with a glass of bubbly and hot kisses. ❤️

Flamboyant book cafĂŠ owner Luca Moretti and geeky doctor Gus Hansen have been together for six years when the Supreme Court ruling makes same-sex marriage legal in all states. On June 26, 2015, Gus gets down on one knee and Luca screams yes.

On their wedding day, shortly before the ceremony, Luca’s mother explodes in anger, calling him a freak. The reason? He’s wearing a white veil, sprinkled with crystals.

Their relationship has been strained for a long time, and her words trigger traumatic memories. Instead of walking down the aisle, Luca runs.

Away from his mother. Away from Gus.

Gus counts down the minutes when Luca’s mother comes knocking. He realizes something’s wrong, but when he goes to talk to Luca, his husband-to-be is nowhere to be found.

Can Gus find Luca in time and manage to convince him to come back and get married?

Writing Update

Writing update

Hello from Singapore. That’s right, I’m traveling…again. And yes, you remember correctly: I was in Singapore only two weeks ago, but we had to go again because of reasons. Bureaucracy…drives me nuts.

Anyways, I thought I’d take the time to update you on what I’m working on while I’m in my hotel room, waiting for cocktail hour to start. Only one more hour to go 😀

I’ve finished His Steady Heart, the May/December story about Buck and Pippin I’ve been working on for awhile. I sent it to my betas yesterday, so now I’m waiting for their feedback. This deadline isn’t as tight as Diving In, when the bestest beta in the entire world only got a few days to read and comment.  But she did it of course, and now I need to be extra nice and give her a lot of time so she doesn’t quit on me! 🙂

Since I finished on time, the story will be released as planned some time in May. As soon as I have details, I’ll let you know.

I also started a new story. It’s called 9 Willow Street. I named it before I even started writing it which I think is a first for me. Usually the name pops into my head some time during the writing process, but not this time. The idea for the story came from my bunny shifter supershort, you remember, this one. Two people begged me so nicely in the comments for a longer story, and since I aim to please, that’s what I’m currently working on.

So watch out for Nell Iris’ first shifter story. It’s a bunny – it’s bound to be super cute!
