Unconditionally

Happy 2nd bookiversary, Unconditionally

Two years ago today, on March 4th 2017, my first book Unconditionally was published. When I submitted the manuscript to JMS Books and got accepted, I was so happy I cried. If you had told me then that two years later, I will have published 11 more solo written books, 1 box set, 1 co-authored book, 1 free anthology with four writer friends, and had been featured in two Top Ten Gay Romance anthologies two years in a row, I would have laughed at you and told you you’re crazy.

But I would have been wrong. So I would like to honor Gus and Luca, my dear boys that started this journey, today on their second anniversary. Luca and Gus, I hope you’re celebrating somewhere with a glass of bubbly and hot kisses. ❤️

Flamboyant book café owner Luca Moretti and geeky doctor Gus Hansen have been together for six years when the Supreme Court ruling makes same-sex marriage legal in all states. On June 26, 2015, Gus gets down on one knee and Luca screams yes.

On their wedding day, shortly before the ceremony, Luca’s mother explodes in anger, calling him a freak. The reason? He’s wearing a white veil, sprinkled with crystals.

Their relationship has been strained for a long time, and her words trigger traumatic memories. Instead of walking down the aisle, Luca runs.

Away from his mother. Away from Gus.

Gus counts down the minutes when Luca’s mother comes knocking. He realizes something’s wrong, but when he goes to talk to Luca, his husband-to-be is nowhere to be found.

Can Gus find Luca in time and manage to convince him to come back and get married?

Writing Update

Writing update

Hello from Singapore. That’s right, I’m traveling…again. And yes, you remember correctly: I was in Singapore only two weeks ago, but we had to go again because of reasons. Bureaucracy…drives me nuts.

Anyways, I thought I’d take the time to update you on what I’m working on while I’m in my hotel room, waiting for cocktail hour to start. Only one more hour to go 😀

I’ve finished His Steady Heart, the May/December story about Buck and Pippin I’ve been working on for awhile. I sent it to my betas yesterday, so now I’m waiting for their feedback. This deadline isn’t as tight as Diving In, when the bestest beta in the entire world only got a few days to read and comment.  But she did it of course, and now I need to be extra nice and give her a lot of time so she doesn’t quit on me! 🙂

Since I finished on time, the story will be released as planned some time in May. As soon as I have details, I’ll let you know.

I also started a new story. It’s called 9 Willow Street. I named it before I even started writing it which I think is a first for me. Usually the name pops into my head some time during the writing process, but not this time. The idea for the story came from my bunny shifter supershort, you remember, this one. Two people begged me so nicely in the comments for a longer story, and since I aim to please, that’s what I’m currently working on.

So watch out for Nell Iris’ first shifter story. It’s a bunny – it’s bound to be super cute!
