Angel and Firebird

Angel and Firebird – 2 days until release

It’s only two more days until the release of my short story “Angel and Firebird” and I’m excited! ARC reviews are starting to trickle in, and the consensus far seems to be that you need a big box of Kleenex while reading it. Good. Mission accomplished 😁

So if you’re in the mood for something emotional and heart wrenching, this is just the story for you. And if you’re like me and can’t really take sadness in your books for hundreds of pages, this book is only 20 pages or so, so I’m sure you can make it through. 😁

Snippets from ARC reviews:

“Okey this cracked my heart so hard… I cried ugly tears. What an impressive story this is! Beautiful beautiful written and the deep emotions so tangible.”

Truus

For such a short story this packed one heck of a punch. Like, on a scale of 1 to 10 the “feels” here were at a level 20.

– Carol Jacobs

It is sad and heartwrenching, and so beautiful. No more words. Just read it.

aaf new quote

Five years ago, Phoenix lost his lover Gabriel, his angel, in a horrific hate crime. All he wanted was to follow him into death and he struggled a long time trying to get his life back together. All this time later he still hasn’t been able to put the past behind him and forget about the love of his life.

On the anniversary of Gabriel’s death—and 25th birthday—Phoenix’ apartment building catches fire. Will Phoenix do the reasonable thing, or will he rise from the ashes to reunite with his beloved angel?
