I am very honored to be a part of RJ Scott’s blog hop for Autism Awareness Month. I admire and respect anyone who uses their platform to try to make the world a better place and when I was offered to participate, I didn’t hesitate to accept.
Check out the master post on RJ Scott’s blog where she links to all the other participating authors. Make sure to visit them and read about their hopes and dreams for the future. It’s a very interesting read.
Autism fact:
There is no known scientific link currently between vaccines and autism
I don’t have anyone in my life with autism, but that doesn’t make this cause any less important to me. I dream of a future where every person is seen and understood. Where everyone is equally important and have the opportunity to live a rich and fulfilling life regardless of race, gender, and sexuality. Or if you happen to be born with a condition that makes you different from other people.
I like different. I like unique. I dream of living in a world where diversity is celebrated and encouraged and where everyone is accepted for who they are.
Giveaway:
Tell me about your favorite book featuring a different character in the comments for a chance to win an ebook copy of either of my books (check them out here). Maybe it’s an autistic character, but it doesn’t have to be, as long as the character is different from the usual stereotypes we see so often in books.
Make sure you leave your email address so I have a way of contacting you, and the title of the book you want if you win. I will pick two winners on May 3rd.
Shameless self-promo:
My upcoming short story Angel and Firebird is available for pre-order now. If you’re in the mood for a very short, bittersweet story but with a HEA, Angel and Firebird is just the thing 🙂
Five years ago, Phoenix lost his lover Gabriel, his angel, in a horrific hate crime. All he wanted was to follow him into death and he struggled a long time trying to get his life back together. All this time later he still hasn’t been able to put the past behind him and forget about the love of his life.
On the anniversary of Gabriel’s death—and 25th birthday—Phoenix’ apartment building catches fire. Will Phoenix do the reasonable thing, or will he rise from the ashes to reunite with his beloved angel?
