Weekends means Rainbow Snippets-time here on the blog, since I’ve joined the Rainbow Snippets group on Facebook. According to their description, “it’s a group for LGBTQ+ authors, readers, and bloggers to gather once a week to share six sentences from a work of fiction—a WIP or a finished work of even 6-sentence book recommendation (no spoilers please!).”
I continue snippeting from my upcoming book, Cinnamon Eyes. I’ve fast-forwarded just a little bit this week, past all the logistics of getting out of the bar, running up stairs, and finally being alone in Asher’s apartment. I decided those things weren’t interesting enough for a snippet 🙂
I couldn’t take my eyes off him. He was even taller than I remembered, and every angle of his body was as sharp as his jawline. Narrow shoulders ended in a bony, ninety-degree corner. Prominent collarbones were visible in the wide neckline of his black T-shirt, together with tufts of black hair.
His hips were slender and his legs long, and everywhere I looked, he was straight and angular. Except for a slightly rounded belly. I wanted to reach out and put my hands on the soft-looking flesh, stick my hands under his T-shirt and find out if he had hair on his stomach, too.
“Cory.”
Cinnamon Eyes is available for pre-order at JMS Books as we speak. Here’s the link: I want more Cory and Asher!
A long-awaited reunion.
Cory’s had a rough year struggling with severe depression. He’s desperate to rebuild his shattered life and to break away from his demanding family. When his therapist encourages him to do something for himself, he knows exactly what he needs. I want to see Asher again. The best friend he ever had who, at fifteen, held Cory’s heart in his hands without knowing it.
Asher’s had a troubled relationship with his father since he came out. Now that Pops is sick, he’s fighting for his right to help or even find out about his father’s health. Then there’s the complication of an ex-boyfriend unwilling to let go.
When they meet after sixteen years, Cory’s feelings are as strong as ever. But does Asher feel the same?
Cinnamon Eyes is an emotional story of what happens when two people who never wanted to be separated, finally reunite.

Asher is so yummy! I want to rub his tummy, too. Do you think Cory might share? ♡

I’m sorry to say I don’t think so. Cory isn’t the sharing kind 😀
