I want to write his happy ending

Those of you who are regular visitors to my blog probably know by now that I can’t live without music. And the other day when I listened to a song I’ve heard a million times before, it was like I heard it for the first time. I took in the words and every nuance of the singer’s voice and it hit me right in the heart. I could feel his pain and I teared up.

And I thought: I want to write his happy ending. But I want to write it with a man, instead of the woman he’s singing it about. I don’t know how or when, and it will take some serious thought. But I can’t stand living in a world where someone is in that much pain, even if it is a fictional character in a song. I need to fix it.

Music—the most amazing inspiration ever. Don’t you agree?

  1. Ohhh, yeah! I want you to write it, too! It’s so full of regrets. Have you decided if the singer will move on with someone he’s better suited for than the lost love he’s singing about, or will the guy he’s singing about figure out he’s made a huge mistake?

    1. I haven’t decided. My first thought was that he was going to move on. But the more I think about it, the more I like the idea of the lost love coming crawling back…begging for forgiveness. But I haven’t decided yet 🙂

      1. Or maybe a combination. Singer moves on and realizes the old target of his love was not as deserving as he’d once thought (or they weren’t such a good match for each other, anyway). Then original target comes groveling back, but now it’s too bad for him! That also leaves you an opening for a sequel where you redeem the original target and give him a love story, too! 🙂

        1. My first thought was that the singer was going to move on with Benji in Cinnamon Eyes. You remember the bartender? He can be cheeky and funny and tease the singer out of his funk. I thought maybe the singer isn’t famous but sings this song every Open Mic night. Roaring out his pain… and hits Benji in the heart? And Benji tries his best to flirt and joke and tease away his pain…

          Idk. Either that or the old love comes crawling back. I need to think about it 🙂
