Rainbow Snippets, Unconditionally

#RainbowSnippets

Weekends means Rainbow Snippets-time here on the blog, since I’ve joined the Rainbow Snippets group on Facebook. According to their description, “it’s a group for LGBTQ+ authors, readers, and bloggers to gather once a week to share six sentences from a work of fiction—a WIP or a finished work of even 6-sentence book recommendation (no spoilers please!).”

I’m still snippeting (it’s a word! 🙂 ) from my short story Unconditionally, that was released last week. This week’s snippet follows directly after last week’s. If you need a reminder of what happened, you can find it here 🙂

The snippet is from Gus’s POV, and he hasn’t learned Luca’s name yet.

Gus shivered. When he registered the words, he sighed and shook his head.

“You do!” the guy insisted. “But shorter and less hipstery.” He took a step closer, leaned in, and put his fabulous mouth next to Gus’s ear again.

Gus quivered, and his stomach jumped in anticipation for whatever came next.

“And you’re way hotter,” the guy rasped and pressed a butterfly-light kiss on Gus’s earlobe.

Gus moaned at the touch of luscious lips on his skin.

I’m never going to wash my ear again.
