Reviews: Unconditionally

I wrote that I’d signed up for a release blitz for Unconditionally which was a really great decision. I’ve enjoyed clicking around on the Internet, seeing my book pop up on blogs and review sites, knowing people will find out about it. It’s been awesome.

And as a result, some lovely people have taken the time to review it, too. I had to take a deep breath to stop my heart from beating out of my chest when I read the first one, and when it turned out to be a positive review, I was so happy.

I know writers are supposed to stay away from reviews, but let’s be honest here, guys. This is my first release. Of course I’m going to read the reviews. And I’m going to cry whether they’re good or bad, since I’m a crier, but so far they’ve been good πŸ™‚

But I thought it would be fun to share some of them with you.

“This is a new to me author and I will definitely be looking out for more of her work. I liked that while Luca’s mother acted horribly, she wasn’t portrayed as an over the top villain. I also appreciated that the angst of what was happening was balanced by the joy that is Gus and Luca. I would recommend this book, particularly for romantics and for those who understand what β€œunconditional” truly means.”

“Told from both Gus and Luca’s POVs, this book is adorable and delightful and just perfect for a pick-me-up after a long day. Enjoy a glass of wine while reading, have a tissue or two at the ready, and revel in this short glimpse into what makes Gus and Luca’s relationship so utterly amazing.”

“In fact, for me it had an almost perfect balance of sweet, angsty, sexy, and fascinating. Combined with a smooth writing style and wonderful voice, Unconditionally was a delightful read.”

I’m grateful for everyone who’s been kind enough to take the time to review my book and feature me on their sites. Thank you ❀

  1. Great reviews, and well deserved! β™‘

“I know writers are supposed to stay away from reviews” β€” I don’t know why so many say that. Like you, I seek them out, too. There’s often something to be learned from them, or sometimes I just shake my head, but often enough they keep me motivated to keep writing.

Have you set up an Amazon Author Central account yet? Once you’ve done that and added your book to your account, you can go in and add these review highlights to your book listing.

P.S. Have you seen your Amazon ranking? Pretty darned good! Congrats! πŸ˜ƒ πŸ’•

    1. Thank you ❀ And yeah, I've seen the rankings. Crazy! On Sunday I was actually number 3 in the LGBT Short Reads category for a while. I almost peed my pants πŸ˜€

I agree, there's stuff we can learn from reviews, and I love reviews in general so I suspect I will continue reading them. It's good to know I'm not alone! πŸ™‚ And I guess the trick is to not engage with the reviewer even if I think they misunderstood. I don't wanna be one of those authors πŸ˜€

And no, I hadn't set up an Amazon Author Central (I had no idea I was supposed to!) but I have now! πŸ™‚ Now I just gotta learn how to use it.

Whatever would I do without you, Addison? ❀
