Day 17 #30DayWritingChallenge

Post about your zodiac sign, and whether or not it fits you

I don’t believe in zodiac signs, but I CAN tell you my birthday is September 11th. Yes. My birthday is 9/11. Wihoo, how fun! Guess what I did on my 29th birthday? That’sΒ right, I watched planes fly into buildings.

And if that wasn’t enough: on September 11, 2003, the Swedish Minister for Foreign Affairs,Β Anna Lindh, died after being attacked with a knife while out shopping on the day before.

So if I believed in curses, I’d say my birthday is cursed.

(If you are curious about my zodiac sign I’m a Virgo. Or born in the year of the Water Rat in the Chinese zodiac…and now that I googled it I realized Shakespeare was a water rat, too, and that water rats supposedly make excellent writers. Huh, who knew? But nah, I still don’t believe in it πŸ™‚ )

Do you believe in zodiac signs? πŸ™‚

        1. Yeah, that was fun to watch. Also crazy. But Chinese are so very superstitious. For example. 4 is an unlucky number in Chinese (means death) so the condo I live in doesn’t have a floor 4 or 14 or 24. We have 1, 2, 3, 3A, 5 πŸ™‚ (Almost 40% of the population in Kuala Lumpur is of Chinese descent so there’s a lot of Chinese traditions here.)

  1. I’m a virgo, too (Aug. 30)! But, no, I don’t believe in that stuff. I had to look up my Chinese zodiac…year of the ox. From the website where I looked it up, this is included in its description: “Most of them are conservative and hold their faith firmly.” — Bwahahahaha…nope to both. πŸ™‚
