Write about five blessings in your life
I would never use the term “blessing” in my life because I’m not religious. So I tweaked the topic and changed it to five things I’m thankful for.
I’m thankful that I have been given the opportunity to read and write. The world would be a much smaller place without these abilities. I thought a lot about this when I was in Bangkok a few months back and looked at and tried to make sense of their written language. My brain tried to make the letters into something familiar, and I thought Hmmm, that kind of looks like an A, and I had to force myself to stop thinking like that. And I kind of got a glimpse of how it would be if I couldn’t read, and I didn’t like it.
I’m thankful that me and my husband are in a place in our lives that gives me the opportunity to chase my dream and try to become an author. When I have to work my creativity shuts down completely and there would be no chance for me to write if I had to work.
I’m thankful for the chance we got to move to another country and experience new things. We’ve had both good and bad times here in Malaysia, but nowadays it’s mostly good. It feels like home, even though it’s so different from where we grew up. But this has been an amazing learning experience and I wouldn’t change it for the world.
I’m thankful that my husband is also my best friend. And biggest supporter.
I’m thankful for my wonderful daughter. No explanations necessary ❤
