List five places you want to visit
Japan
I want to go during sakura season, go to a hanami party and take millions of pictures of cherry blossoms. I’ve always wanted to go to Tokyo, but after reading Blood Stained Tea by Amy Tasukada, I might go to Kyoto and watch the blossoms by the Philosopher’s Path instead. And while I’m in Japan I’m going to eat lots and lots of ramen. I’ll google the best place to eat ramen in Japan, and I’ll go there and have dinner, no matter the cost of the meal! 🙂
Rome, Italy
I love Italy and I’ve been to Florence, Pisa, and a couple of more towns in Tuscany, but never Rome. I want to visit the Colosseum, Forum Romanum, and all the other historic sites. I want to walk around, sit down and have a decanter of wine at a cosy trattoria, and eat all the pasta in the world.
Kenya
I want to go to Kenya and visit the orphan elephants at The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust that I wrote about in my first #30DayWritingChallenge post. I want to see the baby elephants play soccer with my own eyes.
Vienna, Austria
My husband visited Vienna for work a few years back and he swears I would love it. I love architecture and there’s some amazing old buildings in Vienna. And I love old European cities with lots of history, museums, and culture, so I really want to visit.
Australia
Since I was a kid I’ve always wanted to go to Australia. I was fascinated with the kangaroos and the koalas, and when you grow up in Northern Europe Australia seems about as far away and exotic as it gets. Maybe I can get my husband to buy me a trip to Sydney for my 45th birthday this September? 🙂
There are lots of more places I want to visit, of course, but these are my top 5. Tell me about a place you would like to visit! 🙂
